Double Coated Tapes with Differential Adhesion –
High Tack/Low Tack
Description Polyester
0.5 mil (12 micron). clear polyester film 3.0 mils total, differentially coated
with a removable/permanent bond synthetic rubber adhesive
system. Product is supplied with a 3 mil semi-bleached siliconized paper
release liner. The liner side is coated with a low tack, highly removable
clear adhesive system which exhibits moderate adhesion to a variety of
surfaces, but has excellent removability. The exposed side is coated with
an aggressive high tack, permanent clear synthetic copolymer adhesive
which forms a long-term bond immediately upon contact. Complies with
the FDA Code of Regulations. Tile 21, Part 175, Subpart B, Section
175.105, which covers the use of adhesive tapes for indirect food contact.
Adhesion: 80 oz/in. (exposed), 10 oz/in (liner side). Tensile
strength: 10 lbs/in. Elongation: 50% at break. Temperature range: 0°F to
+150°F. Application range: 60°F to +120°F. 3” neutral core/carton.

Polyester 1.0 mil (25 micron) clear polyester film 3.75 mils total, differentially coated
with a low tack and high tack acrylic adhesive system. The liner side is
coated with a controlled, low tack, highly removable clear adhesive system
which exhibits moderate adhesion to a variety of surfaces, but has excellent
removablility. The exposed side is coated with an aggressive, high tack,
peel, and shear, permanent acrylic adhesive. Both adhesives are excellent
in low and moderate temperatures and are resistant to UV, moisture, some
solvents, mild acids, oil and grease. Excellent adhesion to metals, glass,
films, paper and some treated polyolefins. Used as a closure system for
reclosable bags, pouches & envelopes, core start-ups and end tabbing of
papers, foils and films; mounting promotional, advertising & point of purchase
displays that can easily be removed/replaced/repositioned; temporary
holding of packaging and protective materials during shipment; temporary
laminating applications; making removable stickers & labels. Adhesion to steel: 53 oz/in. (exposed), 28 oz/in (liner side). Tensile
strength: 16 lbs/in. Elongation: 100% at break. Low temperature (application):
35°F. High temperature resistance: 275°F. 3” neutral core/carton.

PVC (Clear)-Linerless
3.2 mil (0.08mm). Self-wound transparent PVC film, differentially coated
with a HIGH TACK/LOW TACK acrylic adhesive system for a
smooth and easy unwind. Especially suited for applications where a
liner would be a hindrance. Used for bag sealing, core start-ups, splicing
of plastics, metal foils, paper and cardboard. Its differential adhesive
system makes this tape ideal as a closure system for thin film bags. Also
used for mounting in the graphic arts industry. Adhesion: 30 oz/in.
(exposed), 22 oz/in (covered). Tensile strength: 22 lbs/in.
Elongation: 40% Temperature resistance: +160°F (70°C).
3” neutral core/carton.
